If You Experience Storm Damage:

• Stay Safe. Do not return to damaged property until authorities say it is safe. Stay away from downed power lines, standing floodwater, and unstable structures.

• Document the Damage. When it is safe, take photos and videos of damaged property before beginning cleanup. Keep an inventory of damaged belongings.

• Prevent Further Damage. If safe and practical, take reasonable steps to protect your property from additional damage, such as covering a broken window or arranging emergency tarping. Keep receipts for materials and services.

• Save Your Receipts. Keep records of emergency repairs, temporary accommodations, and other storm-related expenses.

Important Information About Flooding: Flood damage is generally not covered by standard homeowner's insurance policies.
